"STORY OF A MAN" : February 24th - April 8th 2012 (Tour des Templiers - Hyères)

"Story of a man" is an installation that mixes up the everday existence with the imaginary and the memory of a man, Armand Marzynski, concerning an instant of his life, which has become sacred.

This work enables you to skim through the material of a memory that is written down in back and forths between filiations and reconstructions.

A few days before leaving for his final journey, Armand Marzynski, knowing he was very ill, recorded a few words on his dictaphone.

It was beginning with these murmured words that Fabien Chalon conceived this installation, made with images and air. They invite us to reflect on the fundamental question of the trace of man; just as if to surpasse the ephemeral, man needs symboles that exceed us, precede us and succeed us.
